Though we have remarkably skilled engineers in India, our
engineering, innovative and groundbreaking solutions are not reaching the poor,
where it is actually destined. To protract this knowledge to the roots of
villages, we present you E-Sol’V’ (Engineering Solutions to Villages), where
in, you have to design an effective, efficient, feasible and economical modules
to curb the potential problems of rural India. Your thoughts and ideas can
change the face of the country!!! Make a difference to the poor…Better their
lives!!! Create smiles!!!
Wanna take this challenge??? Then look through….
There are three types of challenges:
- The existing problems in the rural India have been put forth and
you have to coin your own design to eradicate it.
- An existing model along with its shortcomings is
given. You should come up with a solution to eliminate the flaws.
- A specific case of a village problem is presented and a complete feasible solution is expected.
The
problems are from various fields and you can choose any one of them, based on
your interest.

GUIDELINES:
- The participants should submit 2 HARD COPIES and 1 SOFT COPY of their final report on 24th March to the Co-ordinator.
- The selected students must bring a SOFT COPY of their presentation for the finals on 25th March during Apogee at 9:00 AM in 5102
- The participants must highlight what productive value addition would take place from the
solution.
- It is recommended that vital aspects of the project that require special focus must be mentioned.
- Along with the report you may come up with a working solution / model which explains your concept with clarity (The best you make use of this, the more credit you shall be awarded)
- The participants should give a final presentation on their report, which should not be more than 15min followed by questions from the judges for 5 minutes.
- Technical aid in as Multimedia (LCD) projector and mikes will be provided for the final presentation. Any other requirements other than these should be intimated well in advance.
- The winners will be awarded with attractive cash prizes.Certificates will be given to those who make it to the final round.
Your report
must include:
- First sheet should only contain title of the project,
names of the team members and their respective institutes.
- Diagrams, if necessary should be on additional
sheets.
- Cost-analysis and feasibility of the design must be explained in detail.

Quotient
The INDIA QUIZ,
A quiz designed and conceptualized to test the participants’ INDIA QUOTIENT.
Rather than being an obscure Quizzing event, it is one of the few events of
APOGEE which are held in the BITS-Auditorium. It has been a successful crowd
puller for the past few years and with all humility claims to be one of the
foremost quizzing competitions of BITS-Pilani. INDIA QUIZ will introduce you to
the different facets of India
which you might have seen or heard but never experienced. Its people and
places, its color and hues, its opulence and magnificence presented to you in a
four hour format which promises to give you a whirlwind tour of India.
General Rules:
1. Participants
must come in teams of three.
2. Participants
can register on the spot for the event.
3. This is open
for BITSians and outstation participants.
4. Six teams will
be selected for the final round after the elimination.
5. Attractive
prizes for the audience.
6. In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the India Quiz team & Host will be
regarded as final and binding.
