Vision:
Every student, even from remote rural areas or under-privileged sections, will get excellent academic/career guidance and necessary monetary support to gain the right education
Motivation for the project:
The weaker and the underprivileged section of students, especially from rural areas stop their education because of financial hurdles. They are not aware of various scholarships available. Also, they do not have access to good academic advice and career counseling and thus, can’t take informed decisions regarding their future studies or career options. They lack guidance in their education and career from their parents and society. They lag in finding their own strengths and interests.
Objective of the project:
Education Help Line (EHL)'s main aim is to ensure that no student will face difficulty in education because of lack of money or guidance.
EHL offers to provide,

Information Delivery Channels:
EHL delivers the information to the students mainly through three delivery channels,
a) Tele-counseling: Counselors located at EHL Call Center answer the calls of the students (toll-free number 1800-425-2426 provided to the students). Counselors provide information and expert advice. Counselors will be provided access to the website and to a network of working professionals in various careers.
b) Workshops: Workshops will be organized for the students where direct individual counseling will be provided. Also, role models and achievers in various fields will participate in the workshop to help students in answering their questions and give inspiration.
c) Classroom training: 10 page workshop manuals on career guidance manuals will be published and distributed to all 8th, 9th and 10thclass students in government schools. The concerned teachers are trained to teach the curriculum.
Government’s support:
The government has provided complete support for the project in both the phases of conceptualizing and implementation of the project. In concept phase, it has been providing “thought leadership” and necessary contacts for information gathering. For the implementation phase, it has provided funding, infrastructure including computers, toll-free telephone connection and office space.
