A workshop was organized on social entrepreneurship giving the participants an insight to the under mentioned topics:
- Overview of Social Entrepreneurship.
- The global aspects and opportunities open for social entrepreneurs.
- The financial, IPR and legal issues involved in social entrepreneurship.
- How to materialize one's plan and how to “sell” it in the minimum time span.
The workshop was scheduled on 7th and 8th February 2009 at BITS
Pilani. Participants were enlightened by three eminent speakers and
learnt everything right from formulation of a business plan to its
implementation. It was an enriching experience for participants to know
what it takes to taste success in social sector. Getting to know why a
certain idea clicked and still what hurdles had to be cleared before
they could register a profit from mouth of great entrepreneurs is
definitely an opportunity no one would like o miss. And that’s it was a
success with more than 400 students benefitting from it.
