Nirmaan Organization

We have only one passion, The rise of a great nation

Our administrators selected a village named "POTHAYAPALLI", an underdeveloped village about 5 km from our college, where there is a Govt primary school having strength around 70 students and an ANGANVAADI school of strength 28 students. Most of the people in that village are daily labourers, who did not have any idea about importance of education of their children. Even though there are some educated people, their children are studying in other private schools. NIRMAAN of our campus divided the volunteers into teams, who have their specific work like the 'community development' is to create social awareness in those people, 'IGNITE' is for educating dropouts and finally coming to my team SAP(school adoption program) is struggling about basic needs of that primary school and problems of students who are studying in that school.

We go to pothayapalli almost every Sunday. Before making a visit, every team usually conduct their own meeting to discuss about what they are going to do in that visit. We discussed with school headmaster and teachers about their needs for school and students. We noticed two important problems which are water problem and garbage(dump yard).

What we have doneWe took classes to those students who belong upto 5th class, wherever they had backlogs in each subject. On 26th January we distributed sweets to the kids in anganvadi and even in primary school. We gave each one of them some pencils, erasers and sharpeners, which they were in need of.

What we are going to do: We are going to create awareness about "dumping the garbage" among the people who are staying near the school, and we planned to provide an 100mts pipeline connecting to an overhead tank near the school and putting pots and dustbins in every classroom. We also planned to give a First aid kit to the school. We planned to do all these by the end of this march.

Future Plans: Since we have started this program in the middle of this academic year we did not provide them any teaching modules. We planned to arrange them in coming June.

This program is also running successfully as the other programs running by NIRMAAN of BPHC.
